When an email message consists of just a few words, such as “Book report due tomorrow” or “Softball game canceled,” the entire message can be put in the subject line. To alert the recipient that the message does NOT need to be downloaded and opened, put “EOM” (an acronym for “End of Message”) at the end of the subject line.
